Foreign students on work placements at COMTES FHT a.s.

During the summer, COMTES FHT hosts foreign students on work placements. They take part in research and development activities under the project entitled “Development of West-Bohemian Centre of Materials and Metallurgy NSP”. Joining the Department of Metallurgical Technologies for a period of 21 days are two students, Jae Won Bang and Jun Yeong Yang, from Keimyung College University in South Korea. They assist in conducting melting, and forging and heat treatment operations and are involved in the research task Deep Cryogenic Treatment of Tool Steels. The Department of Mechanical Testing and Thermophysical Measurement welcomes two students from Poland: Sylwia Rzepa from AGH University of Science and Technology, and Bucki Tomasz from Kielce University of Technology who stay for three months. Their main assignment is to conduct notch toughness testing using Charpy pendulum and specimens of various sizes.
