Optical emission spectrometer Q8 Magellan

In the Laboratory of Metallurgical Technologies COMTES FHT the new spectrometer was installed at the beginning of the New Year 2021.

This is a precision High-End laboratory spark emission spectrometer Q8 MAGELLAN from company Bruker-Elemental. The spectrometer is mainly characterized by excellent limits, stability and measurement accuracy. Measurement options have been expanded and metallic materials based on Fe, Ni, Cu, Al, Ti, Co, can be measured. The spectrometer is ready to measure even small samples as well as wires.

The new equipment will help increase the accuracy of analyzes, especially in the smelting of innovative materials in the company where speed and accurate analysis, including nitrogen, are crucial for the production of high-quality semi-finished products for further processing by forging or rolling.
